I teach embodiment and facilitate healing. In my personal journey, my more conscious experience of my body really began with the practice of yoga when I was a teenager. In 2015, I boldly adventured to Bali following my heart's calling to learn more deeply about the practice and obtain my 200 hour teacher certification.
While teaching yoga, I came across many people who were experiencing pain, especially chronic pain. Some decided to work one on one with me and we had the opportunity to dive deeper and explore together what was at the root of their pain (physical and non-physical). Together with movement and breath, we balanced the energy in the body, often with wonderful, some might say...miraculous responses. Inspired by the outcomes we were obtaining and thirsting for more knowledge, I followed my curiosity and found myself in pursuit of my Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree which I obtained at the University of Southern California in 2021.
I now have the ability to understand and weave together the wisdom I gained from my studies of both eastern and western medicine to create an environment where my patients feel safe and can be treated as a whole. While I treat all people, I have specialized in the treatment of women's pelvic health and am passionate about helping women have empowered childbirths.
In both my yoga classes and physical therapy space, I craft an environment and hold a space and consciousness that allows students and clients to tap into their innermost being and find their own answers, clarity, peace, knowingness.
If you find yourself drawn to my classes, work or inspirations; I'm so happy to have you here. Let the journey to your embodied, empowered self begin!
With love,
Alex
