Alex Blefari's private yoga sessions are the best part of my week (not kidding). She is an incredible teacher and mentor. I have had chronic pain for 14 years, and of everything I have tried, to reduce the pain, Alex's yoga helps my body feel the best. Even on days I am not in pain, our sessions help my body and mind to reset, and if I could, I would schedule one every day! I had never done yoga in my life, and as a total beginner, I appreciate how comfortable Alex makes you feel. She is 100% encouraging and supportive, and I would not have been able to grow as much as I have in three months without her. Best yoga teacher out there!

When I first met Alex it was an instant connection. She has a cool and calm demeanor but with a bit of spunky fun personality all rolled into one. She is the Yin and Yang that any great yoga class needs. I have taken group classes, private sessions and even did a retreat with her and it has been nothing but amazing. I love her attention to physical form and posture to ensure you’re doing your practice in a safe way honoring your body in that day and that moment, but also giving you the guidance to push beyond what your mind thinks is possible. She is very knowledgeable about yoga, the practice and poses. She offers great alternatives if your body isn’t there yet or there’s a physical injury preventing it. She is great at seeing and understanding your body as you do the poses to know if she needs to change and cater the private sessions for your body that day. She plays great music and always has thoughtful and inspirational quotes or passages she shares from her recent learnings. I always love and look forward to any yoga session with Alex. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for a great yoga experience in any capacity!

I've been taking yoga for many years, mostly in group classes. Due to a surgical procedure, I needed to have private classes. Alex was my yogi and healer during this time, she was my teacher. Her holistic style in her practice lead my practice and body to a complete state of healing. Alex completely tailored our private yoga sessions to an injury that required me to have surgery. Alex started privates with me just a week following my ACL and Meniscus surgery. Alex’s personalized sessions are what helped me recover as quickly as I did. She spent time outside of our sessions doing additional research for how I could best benefit from our time together. Following my recovery, Alex continued to challenge me in my practice, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually as well. She taught me breathing exercises to lessen my stress, and taught me to always strive to be the best version of myself I could be. Private lessons with Alex have been far from normal in the best way possible! Being new to yoga practices, I was hesitant to reach out and ask for help dealing with a back issue of mine. Alex addressed my concerns immediately with an approach that I'm still trying to put into words. She took the time to really focus in on my problem areas while providing some of the most calming rituals at the beginning and end of each lesson. After each private I was given "homework" to do on my own time which really pushed me to stay consistent with my work. Through her lessons I have gained strength in my lower back, controlled my over-analyzing mind, and have come to realize how important it is to really treat yourself. Where to even begin! I've known Alex for over ten years now and it has been amazing to watch her grow and transform through yoga. I truly believe she has found her calling with yoga! Her soothing voice makes you feel totally at ease in all her classes. Sometimes yoga classes can be intimidating, but with Alex they are anything but that. She is a fantastic teacher, with a wonderful ability to attain to your specific areas of concern. I have taken private lessons, in which I have have been able to expand my inversion practice and focus on specific areas of concern like lower back pain.
